Unnecessary things we bother ourselves about

Growing up in a neighbourhood where there's little or no love at all posted a great challenge for me as a child. in these kind of neighbourhood, people tend to bother themselves with some issues that one have little or no choice about. Have you ever stare at your self in the mirror and start getting yourself worried over your looks, stature and the colour of your skin? these are things you don't have a say over, sometime ago, i had been so worried about my height that i vehemently prayed and wish to increase my height, but in the course of that i remembered a passage in the Holy book where God "said" let's make "MAN" in our own image. Right there and then i began to have a new perspective to the whole scenario. Let me ask you this question: if you were consciously present during your creation would you have chosen a different look, different colour and different stature? whatever your answer is, let me assure you that God was fare in the whole process of your creation because he has created you in his own image, what you need do is to maintain the identity you have and making sure you give it the best reputation and integrity (at least you owe yourself that much). Henceforth, whenever you stare at yourself in the mirror, keep a straight face, raise your shoulder high and say these word: "I am created after God's image". So things you cannot change, it's of no use fighting yourself over it, instead, embrace it and make the best use out of it. See every challenge as an opportunity for greatness.
